<p>1342853 Oil-soluble polybutene derivatives TEXACO DEVELOPMENT CORP 2 June 1972 [21 June 1971] 25773/72 Heading C3P [Also in Divisions C4-C5] Oil-soluble ashless polybutenyl alkylene-poly amino alkanol dispersants of formula where X and Y are H, (R<SP>11</SP>-O) y H or R; R is C 25-3500 polybutenyl radical; R<SP>1</SP> is a divalent C 2-8 hydrocarbyl radical; R<SP>11</SP> is a divalent C 2-4 hydrocarbyl radical; x is 1 to 6; y is 1 to 5 and the dispersant has an average molecular weight of 400 to 50,000; may be prepared by reacting a polybutene with an alkylene polyamine, and reacting the product with an alkylene oxide. The polyamine may be ethylene, propylene, 1,4- butane, 1,4-pentane or 1,6-hexane diamine; a polyethylene polyamine; piperazine or N- aminoethyl piperazine. The alkylene oxide may be ethylene, propylene or butylene oxide. In examples chlorinated polybutene is reacted with (I) hexamethylene diamine, (II) iminobispropylamine and (III) pentaethylene hexamine, and the products are further reacted with propylene oxide.</p> |
