<p>The machine is for the removal of weeds etc. from rivers and canals, comprising a vessel from which an intake mechanism is supported, clear of its forward end. This directs the surface vegetation to a trough with a floor and vertical sidewalls and a knife (7) cutting through the plants near the waterway bottom. the trough discharges at the rear end into a collector chamber (8), with a spreader mechanism for the vegetation, leading in turn to a passage with feed mechanism (9) delivering to a baling press (11). A conveyor (12) discharges the bales from the press.</p> |
