<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the setting of recording paper of the wrong size by providing a recording paper information recognizing means for recognizing the size of the recording paper and the like on the recording paper supply port side of the outer wall of a facsimile device body. CONSTITUTION:A device body 11 and a recording paper cartridge 12 are connected, and the device body 11 is closed so as to be placed in the receive-record possible state. At this time, as the information holding part 62 of a detail paper cartridge is adhered to an optical coupling device 28 as the information recognizing means of the device body 11, the paper size and the like are read and displayed at a display part. Information on the paper size and the like can be therefore confirmed before the receive of the facsimile device body 11 is started, thus preventing the setting of detail paper 18 of the wrong size, which is very effective to subsequent facsimile communication.</p> |
