A sliding vane pump or motor has a working chamber formed by a cylinder (1) between two end plates (2) and containing a fixed block (3) with radial slots for the vanes (5). These vanes are caused to slide parallel to the axis of the drum by a ball type cam (6) attached to each end. These cams are secured to the drive spindle (7) through the middle which has a stepped blind hole one end with inlet and outlet ports (11) at the two respective parts of the blind hole, communicating with the chambers between the blades. The shape of the two cams form a zig-zag space between them which forms a guide path to reciprocate the vanes.
|
