<p>The fire extinguisher operates at relatively constant pressure. It can be used to spray any extinction chemical including gas-injection foam in any area subject to external pressure or depression. A freely-operating valve (4) shuts off a pressure equalisation port (3) and prevents spillage of the chemical during handling. A low-pressure bursting membrane (12) is mounted in the chemical outlet and in the upper part of the down tube (9). The removable sealing plate (2) can be arranged to support the gas pressure inlet with tap and release, the freely-operated valve (4), and the down tube with injector, mixer and bursting membrane connected to the expansion lance.</p> |
