The echo-suppressor for communications system, which has a reduced number of components whilst maintaining effectiveness, consists of a series of network forming a delay line along whose length the main signal is bled off and these signal samples added together. The passages through zero of the original cosine shaped frequency width wave is distributed roughly in the same way as the detailed density distribution curve within the frequency band being subjected to distortion removal.
