<p>PURPOSE:To make a drive system compact so as to obtain a sufficient elevating stroke and to make an elevating apparatus lightweight in order to facilitate the use of the apparatus by incorporating a fluid pressure cylinder in a base frame in a substantially vertical posture, and by forming a rack on a stroke member in the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:Racks 4b, 21a are linearly reciprocated by a cylinder 4 so as to rotate a spur gear 4c meshed with the racks, and accordingly, the arrangement thereof is simplified in comparison with the conventional one using a pantograph type link mechanism. Further, since the stroking of an actuator 4a is turned directly into a torque for the spur gear 4c, the degree of division into component forces is low in comparison with the conventional one. Accordingly, mechanism loss due to friction or the like during a period from the power output to the elevation of a workframe 13 is small, and accordingly, the output of a drive unit 2 can be reduced. Accordingly, it is possible to miniaturize the cylinder 4, and to set the level of the workframe to a value which is lower than that of the conventional one. Thereby it is not necessary for the user to take an unnatural posture when it is used in a wheel chair.</p> |
