PURPOSE:To extremely reduce the carbon content of the title superconducting ceramics by successively subjecting Tl2O3, BaCO3, CaCO3 and CuO as starting materials to specified blending, molding, calcining, pulverizing, reblending, mixing and recalcining. CONSTITUTION:Tl2O3, BaCO3, CaCO3 and CuO are used as starting materials. BaCO3 is first mixed with CaCO3 and CuO in a prescribed ratio and this mixture is calcined at 850-1,050 deg.C to obtain Ba-Ca-Cu compd. oxide. This oxide is pulverized and the resulting compd. oxide powder is blended with Tl2O3 in a prescribed ratio, mixed and press-molded to form a green compact, which is then sintered at 400-890 deg.C. The compact may be sintered by hot pressing at 400-890 deg.C. |
