<p>Hollow body or container testing uses hydraulic pulses superimposed on pre-stressed medium in test piece. Optimum threshold values are obtained without any electronic control equipment. The test piece is filled with a pressure medium and oscillated through a pulsating stream of pressure medium of variable frequency and amplitude. A motor drives an oil pump which feeds the oil via. a volume regulator for amplitude regulation, to a pulse generator. The latter is driven hydraulically or electrically with a fixed or an adjustable number of revolutions and has four connections. The oil is fed to the pulsating hydro-cylinder.</p>
