<p>1515395 Scaffolding SOC FRANCAISE DES ECHAFAUDAGES "SELF-LOCK" 22 Sept 1975 [11 April 1975] 38872/75 Heading E1S Scaffolding comprises transverse frames 2 with unequal length uprights 8, 9, and longitudinal frames 1 with end uprights 3, 4 which are, e.g. spigoted and socketed into engagement with uprights 9 along one side of the scaffolding: platform elements 23, 23a are also provided, having end flanges which extend down into the troughs of channelsectioned elements 10 of the transverse frames. Further, intermediate braces 30, 30a are provided, with mating end sleeves 31, 32 which interconnect over the upright connections. End frames 20 are provided with end couplings 17 for supporting said end frames on the ends of member 5 of the longitudinal frames and over cross-braces 14 of reinforcing members 12 of the transverse frames, said members 12 being arranged to give clearance thereunder for workmen. Joint locking members 34 which pass through the spigot and socket upright connection also provide a restraint against lifting of the platform elements, as do plates 27 fixed on top of elements 10, at one end thereof, and receiving lugs (28), fixed to end members 26 of the platform elements, thereunder.</p> |
