<p>Each compartment of the conveyor incorporates a number of tilting shelves. The compartments are situated adjacent to each other so as to travel in a clockwise direction round the conveyor track, and the shelves are mounted one above the other in each compartment. A locking catch mechanism can be mounted at the rear of each compartment, holding or releasing a lever supporting a tilting shelf. The shelf falls through an initial angle under gravity, and then through a further angle during which it is braked by a damper. A system of rails or cams can be provided, to restore all tilted shelves to their initial position.</p> |
