Insertion and attachment of feeder insulating plates in ingot moulds - by suspension at desired height and sticking to mould wall

The plates, suspended by loops on hooks from a supporting device near the mould walls, carry an adhesive in the middle of the rear side of the plates. The plates can be positioned at the desired height and are pressed against the mould walls by expandable supports. The corners of the plates have fillet strips adhering to them. The plates are used for insulating feeder heads and can be easily fixed in the required position without danger of metal flow behind the plates.
