PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve reliability by comparing the output of an image signal output means and a set value, when the exposing position of an exposing means corresponds to a color reference member, so as to automatically catch the smudge of the color reference member. SOLUTION: A black color reference plate 5 being a first color reference member for shading correction and a white color reference plate 6 being a second color reference member are provided by successively arraying on the lower surface side of an indicator part 2a which is a non-original mounting area. When the moving position of a carriage 42, namely the exposing position of an exposing lamp 41, corresponds to prescribed areas X and Y for shading correction of the respective black and white reference plates 5 and 6 in the non-original mounting area, whether a smudge exists at the black and white color reference plates 5 and 6 is detected by comparing the output of a CCD sensor and the stored set value. The number of times detected with a smudge by a detection means is counted, and when the counted value reaches a precribed value, the fact is reported (alarm generated) by a display. |
