1465450 Rolled food products DANSK STYRETEKNIK AS 23 June 1975 [24 June 1974] 26583/75 Heading A2B A rolled food product (e.g. a Chinese Spring Roll) comprising a filling and an outer edible wrapping material is made by rolling and folding the wrapper around the filling, the folding being effected by fluid pressure on the wrapper. Suitably the filler 17 and wrapper 16 are placed on conveyer 1. A jet of air from orifice 18 folds the front of the wrapper over, and is further rolled by means of flap 11 as the filling passes beneath. Guide arms 12 define and crease the end of the filling and arms 13 define the line of fold as air jets 19 fold the opposite edges over the filling, the product being finally rolled by means of flap 15 to finish. Any type of fluid through the orifices, including a fluidised particulate material may be utilised and additionally folding may be assisted (or effected) by formation of a vacuum above the wrapper rather than an increased pressure below it. |
