The bottle top carries an external thread over part of its circumference. The thread is wide and has a long pitch so that half a turn on the stopper is sufficient to close it. The neck of the bottle has a groove (5) at its top edge. The screw threads ends with a lip (2) at its lower end. The stopper has a corresponding internal thread with a hollow (4) and an internal ring (6) which matches the groove (5). When the bottle is closed, the groove and ring snap into place and the stopper is locked on.
