Automatic filling of cartons on turret machines - preventing bulging of cartons by using cam-operated forming tool

Device for the filling of cartons is distinguished by ledge type forming tools (21) which rotate together with the feed nozzle (5). The forming tools are arranged tangential to the rotational path and can move under the control of the guide rails (13) in front of the open side of the carton holders (10) which rotate about the vertical axis (3). The forming tools (21) are mounted to pivot arms (20) whose axis (17) is arranged above the discharge end (6) of the feed nozzle (5). A fixed control rail (25) and rollers (23) which act onto the arms (20) and effect a pivot action, are provided.
