<p>Contact-free tension measurement between the individual roller frames during cold rolling of strip steel is claimed. The strip tension measurement is taken to achieve a constant strip thickness at the output of the last roller frame of a tandem- or continuous strip roller line at constant roller speed or at constant rotary speed of the roller pairs of the individual frames. The resultant measurement series is a criterion for the roller gap regulation. The measurement is carried out by continuous measurement of the magnetic conductivity (permeability during tension oscillations in conjunction iwth a voltage converter. Specifically, the converter is in the form of the separate coils which are spaced widely apart and set on the same connecting yoke. This yoke comprises a material of good magnetic conductivity and connects two neighbouring frames of a line on the top side, simultaneously acting as support yoke.</p> |
