The body (3) of the fitting has one wide internally threaded (8) end and one narrow externally threaded (11) end. The bore of the narrow end extends a short distance into the wide end, forming an annular groove (4) which surrounds the end of the spiral conduit (2) when assembled, thus protecting the wires. A retaining nut (1) has an internal thread (7) which retains the spiral tube and an external thread (5) by which it is screwed into the body. Alternatively, the tube end protector forms a separate piece which screws only on the end of the conduit. The wide end of the body is in this casae externally threaded and a separate internally threaded cap bears on the protector and screws on to the body to hold the components together.
