PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IC card system without any possibility of leaking secret even though business is left to out-sourcing and a temporary employee, and to provide an IC card used for the IC card system. SOLUTION: In this IC card system consists of a personal computer 11, an IC card reader/writer 12 and the IC card 2 and in which the personal computer is started by making the IC card reader/writer read the IC card, the IC card has a key for accessing a file or a folder stored in a device 21 connected to the personal computer 11 or a network, and information capable of specifying the file or the folder. The IC card is an IC card to be used for the system and records the key for accessing the file or the folder stored in the device on the network and the information capable of specifying the file or the folder.
