<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a residual chlorine meter with a electrode structure whose indicating electrode is arranged on the bottom of a tank storing sample water and whose working electrode is arranged on a side wall surface of the tank, which prevents damages to the indicating electrode and allows the quantity of the sample water to be relatively little, by making up the indicating electrode so that its surface is inclined and rotating cleaning beads so as to slide on the inclined surface. <P>SOLUTION: In the residual chlorine meter, the indicating electrode which is arranged on the bottom of a measuring tank in a cylindrical long form storing the sample water, and a comparing electrode which is arranged on the side wall surface of the measuring tank, are immersed in the sample water, and a voltage is applied across the electrodes, and chlorine concentration in the sample water is measured on the basis of current flowing between the electrodes. The bottom surface of the indicating electrode arranged on the bottom surface of a measuring tank is inclined, and a stream ejecting means is disposed so that the cleaning beads are rotated in contact with the inclined surface of the indicating electrode by ejecting the sample water from a nozzle of the stream ejecting means onto the inclined surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
