PURPOSE:To make an electrode hard to be deteriorated end extend the product life by constituting a cathode electrode molded on an insulating substrate with a lower electrode containing metal and an upper electrode formed on it and containing chromium fine powder. CONSTITUTION:A display panel is constituted by arranging a back glass 1 with multiple cathode electrodes 2 and partitions 3 and a front glass 4 with multiple anode electrodes 5 face to face so that the electrodes 2, 5 are faced to each other by discharge cells partitioned by the partitions 3. The discharge gas mixed with Ne and Ar is sealed in the cells, and connecting terminals 2a are provided on the electrodes 2. The electrode 2 is constituted of a lower electrode 6 containing Ni end an upper electrode 7 mixed with the stable Cr tine powder with a low sputtering factor, a vehicle and low-melting point glass end dried and baked so as to cover the lower electrode 6, and the electrode surface is hardly deteriorated by the shock of ions. |
