<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a small-size and light-weight device and simplify a complicated and large-capacity wiring by a method wherein a line head made of edge emission type EL elements is provided with a matrix wiring of common electrodes and block electrodes, and a common drive circuit connected to the common electrodes is connected to a DC - DC converter. CONSTITUTION:A line head 13 is so structured that (mXn) pieces of edge emission type EL elements 2 made of a matrix wiring of m-pieces of common electrodes 181 - 18m and n-pieces of block electrodes 191 - 19n, a SELFOC lens array 20 disposed in front of the EL elements, and a block drive circuit 21 connected to the block electrode 19 are juxtaposed on a sheet of substrate 22. On the other hand, on a body frame 23 integrally formed with a toner cleaner 16 and the like, a circuit housing 25 is mounted. On the rear surface thereof, a mounting board 26 with the substrate 22 of the line head 13 fixed is displaceably mounted, and communicating wiring holes 27, 28 are formed. Through these holes, a circuit board 29 is connected to the respective electrodes 18, 19.</p> |
