PURPOSE:To improve liquid holding property and prevent liquid leakage by providing a triangular liquid holding reservoir on corner parts of the fuel electrode side surface of a gas separating plate, and a shim having enlarged part and extended part having required forms on the separating plate surface. CONSTITUTION:Cells 1 formed of air electrode P, electrolytic matrixes M, and fuel electrodes N are laminated through a gas separating plate 2 having cross directional fuel gas and air passages (p), (n) on each of the surface and reverse face, whereby a cell stuck is formed. Triangular liquid supporting reservoirs 3 are provided on corner parts of the fuel electrode N side surface of the separating plate 2, and shim enlarged parts 4' and shim extended parts 5' having notches of the same form as that of the reservoir 3 are provided on each surface of the separating plate with the matrix M between on each surface side, whereby liquid holding property can be improved to prevent liquid leakage, and the liquid extraction from the gas passage is not required. Consequently, the maintenance of the cell is improved, and reliability is enhanced. |
