PURPOSE:To clearly superimpose letters over color images, independently of the coloration of the color image by using the color of printing letter as the complementary color of the image corresponding to a position in which the printing letter is impressed. CONSTITUTION:When printing is required with the printing data stored in each of memories 1 and 2, a complementary coloring circuit 4 collects the data from an image memory 1 and a letter pattern generating circuit 3. When there is no letter data from the letter pattern generating circuit 3, a signal from the image memory 1 is as such sent to a color printer control circuit 5. When the letter data exist and there is a signal from the letter pattern generating circuit 3, the signal from the image memory 1 is converted into the complementary color, which is then supplied to the color printer control circuit 5. The color printer control circuit 5 regulates the color image signal according to the interface of the color printer 6 so as to send the color image signal and the letter in a superimposed relation from the complementary coloring circuit 4 to the color printer. |
