PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stereoscopic image display device that can smoothly cope with movement of a viewer and display a proper stereoscopic image for the viewer. SOLUTION: A stereoscopic display device 12 displays a stereoscopic image according to image data from an image data supply means 11. Furthermore, a viewer movement information generating means 15 generates viewer movement information caused by movement of a viewer detected by a viewer supervisory camera 14 and a supervisory direction revision means 16 revises the supervisory direction of the viewer supervisory camera 14 based on the viewer movement information. When the movement of the viewer depending on the viewer movement information exceeds a movement permissible range, a tracking instruction information generating means 17 generates tracking instruction information. Then a control means 18 revises a direction of a display screen in the stereoscopic display device 12 corresponding to the movement of the viewer by the viewer movement information based on the tracking instruction information and the stereoscopic display device 12 receives image data corresponding to the movement of the viewer by the viewer movement information.
