PUMP REVERSING WATER TURBINE TYPE GENERATING EQUIPMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively utilize a head drop, in pump reversing water turbine type generating equipment capable of controlling generating capacity depending on fluctuation in electric power consumption on a load side.

SOLUTION: An air flow pipe 21 has one end 21a communicating to a conduit 13 whose position is closer to a drainage tank 12 side than that of a pump reversing water turbine 60, and the other end 21b opened to the air. A flow control valve 22 is disposed to the air flow pipe 21. An operation control part 35 controls production of electricity of a generator 70 driven by the pump reversing water turbine 60, by detecting the fluctuation in electric power consumption on the load 90 side form the frequency detected by a frequency detector 23 to control opening of the flow control valve 22 depending on the fluctuation in electric power consumption.
