A transmission signal (10a) is frequency modulated (10), and amplified (12) to a specific level and transmitted by an aerial via a filter (14). At this point, the output signal level is regulated by control of the degree of amplification. This control is effected by detection of the amplifier circuit output signal level by a detector (18). The signal level is compared with a reference level produced bya control unit (20) and a reference value generator, using a comparator (24). The degree of amplification is controlled by an amplifier control circuit (26) on the basis of the comparison result. A keyboard or finger plate (28) is available to adjust the level of the transmission signal, and causes the control unit to activate the reference value generator to produce an appropriate signal. Since the detector properties vary, e.g. due to ambient temp. and that within the equipment, a temp. compensator (30) is incorporated in the detection circuit to ensure that its properties do not vary due to temp. effect. @(Provisional basic advised week 92/01)@ @(38pp Dwg.No.4/16)@.
|
