PURPOSE:To ensure superior charging stability and to prevent the lowering of printing density, the occurrence of fog and the contamination of the inside of a machine due to the scattering of a toner by incorporating a specified amt. of titanium boride into the toner. CONSTITUTION:A yellow toner is composed of resin, a yellow colorant, other additives and 0.1-5.0wt.% titanium boride. Since this titanium boride has lower electric resistance than the toner and reduces the extent of triboelectric charging of the toner at the time of triboelectric charging with a carrier, a blade, etc., the amt. of charged toner particles remaining in a developer in an undeveloped state after repeated printing is reduced and a fresh toner replenished later has a chance of coming in satisfactory contact with a carrier in the case of a two-component developer. A change of the extent of triboelectric charging of the developer can be reduced, the lowering of printing density and the occurrence of fog are prevented and the scattering of the toner can be suppressed. |
