<p>PURPOSE:To decrease the number of components and to reduce the size by constituting a module housing and a subordinate air flow passage integrally, inserting the module housing part into a main air flow passage, and arranging a connector outside the main air flow passage. CONSTITUTION:The subordinate air flow passage 13 where a hot wire 5 and a temperature sensing resistor 6 are arranged is molded integrally of plastic together with the module housing 2 which protects and maintains an electronic circuit 4 mounted on an L-shaped or T-shaped metallic base 1, and a connector housing 3. Then the module housing is inserted into the intake air passage 14 of an engine as the main air flow passage and fixed by clamping the passage 14 and base 1 with fixing screws 15. At such a time, connector terminals 7 and lead frames 8 are also fixed by the plastic molding. Thus, the circuit module and subordinate air flow passage 13 are constituted integrally and only the connector part is inserted so that it is positioned outside the main air flow passage. Consequently, part of air 16 which flows in the passage 14 and is sucked in the engine is shunt to the subordinate air flow passage 13 and the total flow rate is detected from the shunt air.</p> |
