PURPOSE:To set the corresponding value to the tables having the same codes if detected through the retrieving operations by attaining a constitution where a deciding means retrieves a code store part by using an input character code to be converted as a key word. CONSTITUTION:The target KANJI (Chinese character) code name inputted by an operator is read, and a table of the target KANJI codes is read out of a code store part 4. A table T1 is read out if a target KANJI code is C1. The decision signal received from an input code deciding part 2 is decoded and a table is read out of the part 4. Then a KANJI code is read out of an input part 1 and a table T2 is retrieved with this KANJI code used as a key word. The KANJI corresponding to the read KANJI code is extracted and used as a key word to retrieve the table T1 for extraction of the corresponding KANJI code. This operation is applied to all KANJI codes stored in an input file and the contents of the input file are all converted into the target KANJI codes. These converted KANJI codes are sent to an output part 5 as the output codes. |
