PURPOSE:To provide sufficient lubricity and water- and oil repellency to a titled medium and to improve the corrosion resistance, durability and runnability thereof by incorporating specific perfluoroether having >=1 nitrogenous heterocycles at the molecular terminal into the surface of the recording medium. CONSTITUTION:The magnetic layer is formed on the surface of the recording medium by using the perfluoroether which is expressed by the formula and into the molecular terminal of which >=1 kinds of the nitrogenous heterocycles selected from triazoles, imidazoles, carbazoles and indoles are incorporated. Said nitrogenous heterocycles are securely bonded to the magnetic layers, are not detached from the surface of the magnetic layer in long-term use and have the sufficient lubricating function and water- and oil repellency. Said cycles have a small coefft. of friction and jitter characteristic and contribute to improvement in the corrosion resistance, runnability and durability. |
