The invention relates to thermoplastic polyester molding materials which contain A) 30 to 100 wt.-% polyesters which consist of a 1) 50 to 99 wt.-% of a polybutylene terephthalate with a conte nt in a Lewis acidic inorganic or organic metal compound in the range of from 65 to 100 ppm (based on the metal), and a2) 1 to 50 wt.-% of polyesters that are not polybutylene terephthalate, B ) 0 to 40 wt.-% of rubber-elastic polymers, C) 0 to 30 wt.-% of flame-retardants, D) 0 to 50 wt.-% of fillers and E) 0 to 20 wt .-% of further additives. The invention is further characterized in that the total of the weight percentage of components A) to E) invariably is 100.
