PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handrail which enables a resin cover to be easily installed thereon even when the handrail has a length or a shape for which installation of the resin cover is conventionally considered to be difficult and to provide a manufacturing method for the handrail.SOLUTION: A handrail 11 comprises: a handrail body section 21 which is made up of metal pipe materials and has a bent section; and a resin cover 22 installed around the handrail body section 21. The resin cover 22: is manufactured through extrusion molding into a cylindrical form using a soft resin material having expandable property with volatile solvent infiltrated thereinto; and has a wood-effect pattern thereon. The resin cover 22 fits the handrail body section 21 with an inner face of the resin cover 22 brought into contact with an outer periphery of the handrail body section 21 throughout an entire circumferential direction of the resin cover 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
