The image processing apparatus determines whether authentication information of a user of the information processing apparatus and authentication information of a user of the image processing apparatus match each other, in a case where the authentication information of the user of the information processing apparatus and the authentication information of the user of the image processing apparatus match each other, displays a setting screen for receiving a setting regarding execution of the document scan/transmission job, and executes the document scan/transmission job according to an instruction received through the displayed setting screen.

1. An image processing apparatus for reading a document to generate image data, using a reading unit, the image processing apparatus comprising:
a reception unit configured to receive, from an information processing apparatus capable of communicating with the image processing apparatus via a network, a document scan/transmission job for causing the reading unit to read a document to generate image data and transmitting the image data to a specified destination; a determination unit configured to, in a case where the reception unit receives the document scan/transmission job, determine whether authentication information of a user of the information processing apparatus and authentication information of a user of the image processing apparatus match each other; a setting screen display unit configured to, in a case where the determination unit determines that the authentication information of the user of the information processing apparatus and the authentication information of the user of the image processing apparatus match each other, display a setting screen for receiving a setting regarding execution of the document scan/transmission job; and an execution unit configured to execute the document scan/transmission job according to an instruction received through the setting screen displayed by the setting screen display unit.
