Relates to a system in which a controlled rectifier pulse generator circuit CG including a capacitor is connected between a battery and a motor to be controlled, the pulse frequency being adjusted to regulate the mean power applied to the motor. A diode D 1 maintains the current through the motor during the interpulse periods. The motor is braked by reversing its armature connections, the generated current passing through diode D 2 . Circuit elements R 1 , R 2 , C 1 , sample the voltage across the diode D 2 and smooth the detected voltage for controlling transistor TR 1 . The output of the transistor is applied to the circuit CG for keeping the pulse rate at a low level during the braking period In another arrangement, the field of the motor is reversed instead of the armature.</p> |
