The document (1) has a data support (2) with micro-perforations (3) which are visible by an observer (6), where the support is made of paper, plastic and polycarbonate. A reflecting unit (4) is arranged such that a light traversing the perforations are reflected through the perforations. The support has two faces (16, 17) which are placed opposite to each other. Optical effect generating unit is arranged with respect to the reflecting units, so that the observer observes the optical effect through the perforations. An adhesive film has an adhesive transparent layer adhered to the support. An independent claim is also included for a method for securing a document.
