A mineral mining installation comprises a longwall conveyor 13 having a plough guided for movement along its mineral-face-side, see Fig. 1 (not shown), a first plate 18 with a guide rail 17 attached to the goaf side of the conveyor, a second winning machine mounted on the rail and extending across the conveyor and a further plate 21, 22 detachably secured to the first plate and disposed on the goaf side thereof to define therewith two separate passages for the haulage and return run of the traction chain 28 of the second winning machine. Guard plates 33 and frames 36 may also be attached to the conveyor to-gether with an L-shaped plate 24 having an apertured lug 26' for the attachment of an advancing ram. Service conduits 32, 37 may be arranged as shown. |
