PURPOSE:To sense internal failure of a gas insulated electric apparatus early and simply whether it is installed in on-line or off-line arrangement, and simplify the structure of the sensing device and also the manufacturing processes. CONSTITUTION:A Cu electrode 2 and a constantan electrode 3 are secured to an inorganic substance 1 which adsorbs decomposition gas of an insulative gas, and to these electrodes 2, 3 a voltmeter 10 is connected, and a spontaneous current flows between them 2, 3 when the decomposition gas is adsorbed by the inorganic substance 1. The voltage at this time is measured by the voltmeter 10, and the obtained value is divided with the internal impedance of the voltmeter 10 to determine the amperage. Thus internal failure is sensed. |
