A composition of matter prepared by mixing a polyhydrocarbon ether formed by the polymerization of alkylene oxides containing from two to four carbon atoms and having a molecular weight of at least 15,000 and containing two to four carbon atoms in the divalent radical between adjacent ether oxygen atoms with a polymer of a 1-olefin containing from two to eight carbon atoms and having a molecular weight of at least about 280 and containing from about 0.2 to about 5 percent by weight of sulfur and from about 0.5 to about 10 percent by weight of a ditertiary peroxide and curing the mixture.
