An arrangement for locking the mould closed when the knife cuts the sole comprises a number of pins 30 on the plate 24, each grooved at 33 to receive balls 34 located within bushes 32 depending from the plate 23. The balls are urged inwardly into the grooves by sleeves 35 which move downwardly with the knife during the cutting stroke. |
