A product information guide system and an operation method thereof are provided to offer related production information to a consumer in the purchase of a product, thereby enabling the consumer to easily purchase a product. Product information offer terminals(10:10a,10b,10c,10d,10e,10f) are prepared between shelves of a store like a shopping center or a large mart. RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) readers(22:22a,22b,22c,22d,22e,22f) are built in the product information offer terminals. When a cart(15) loading an article, to which RFID tags(18:18a,18b) are adhered, moves near a corresponding shelf, the RFID readers read the tag value of the RFID tag. When an article related to the read tag value is on the shelf, the product information offer terminal supplies a product information message including a related article list, sale information, the read tag value, etc. matched for the tag value to a product information display terminal(16) equipped with the cart. The product information display terminal is equipped at each cart, receives product information from the product information offer terminal through wireless telecommunication including WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) and Bluetooth communications with the product information offer terminal, and displays the received product information. |
