The neck (2) of the bottle (1) is shut off by a valve (3), while the cap (4) screws onto the neck and has a gas outlet. An axial slot (7), formed in the thread (5) in the cap, connects the interior of the latter to atmosphere. A flow restrictor (9) in line with the slot is formed on the bottle neck (2) and generates turbulence. There can be an even number of slots, those in each pair being diametrally opposite each other. The restrictor can be formed by a peripheral shoulder on the neck, reducing the bottle diameter. ADVANTAGE - Escaping gas does not cause movement of the bottle.
