In a camera pedestal (10) having a pedestal chassis (12) supported on wheels (27) and a separable pedestal column (14) supported in an opening (16) in the pedestal chassis, a camera riser (30) is provided in between the column (14) and chassis (12), to increase camera lens height without increasing the load and stress on the telescoping column (14). The camera riser (30) has an upper end (32) adapted to receive the lower end (34) of the pedestal (10), and a lower end (34) adapted to attach into or onto the chassis (12), in the same manner as the pedestal column (14) attaches to the chassis (12), when the riser (30) is not in use. |
