PURPOSE: A device for processing slide meta information to transmit multimedia contents and a method therefor are provided to edit contents by adding or deleting the contents while maintaining reproduction information on the contents defined in an original SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) document before the edition. CONSTITUTION: A multimedia contents transceiver(210) converts multimedia contents including voice data and video data into a wireless signal, and transmits the wireless signal to base stations through an antenna(ANT), or receives multimedia contents through the base stations from a multimedia contents server to convert into an IF signal, and stores the IF signal in a multimedia contents storage(220). The multimedia contents stored in the storage(220) are reproduced from a multimedia contents reproducer(230), or are defined as meta information by extracting contents expression information of each slide with an SMIL parser(240).
