The ventilator system for a root crop store (1) incorporates ducts which are covered in and form part of the air supply system. The air supply system consists of a number of underground ventilators (11) underneath the store. The ventilators are at the outlets of air supply ducts (12) and ventilation ducts with air outlet slits. Between the air inlet ducts (12) and the ventilation ducts are intersecting ducts (13) running underneath the roof shaped covers. In the case of a circular silo, the ventilators (11) are positioned in the central shaft (3), where a partition wall (8) is radially situated, and is in the form of a duct.
