PURPOSE:To print interconnectors instead of wire connections when solar battery cells are mounted on a paddle, by electrically connecting other electrodes and grid electrodes on the surface by way of through holes, which are formed in a first conductivity type crystal substrate. CONSTITUTION:A current is taken out by collecting generated electric charge with a grid electrode 6 and N-type electrodes 16. The grid electrode 6 is electrically connected to a P-type electrodes 17 by way of a plurality of through holes 18 formed in an N-type GaAs crystal substrate 1. Therefore the current can be taken out of the rear surface. A diffused layer 19 is provided for the purpose of preventing the contact of each P-type electrode 16 and the N-type semiconductor crystal and the cause of current leaking. In this constitution, a bus electrode 11, which has served the role of a power feeding point in a conventional GaAs solar cell, is no longer required. Since a plurality of power feeding points are provided at positions very close to the grid electrodes 6, the resistance is not increased even if every one piece of the grid electrode 6 is made thin. Thus the area of the entire grid electrodes 6 can be reduced. |
