An electrical external rotor motor of waterproof construction. The shaft (5) of the motor is stationary and the external rotor bell (28) is supported such that it can rotate on the shaft. It is closed by a closure plate (12) which acts as a bearing plate, and is sealed to a mounting plate (3) by means of a lip ring seal (15), arranged close to the axis, and a labyrinth gland (17). The external rotor (28) can be removed without further parts of the motor having to be dismantled.
