PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multipurpose ergometer capable of selectively executing both of a loading exercise and rehabilitation exercise.SOLUTION: A multipurpose ergometer comprises: a load wheel (11) which is rotated by stepping and rotating pedals; load means (17) for applying a load to the load wheel by resistance; load adjustment means (18) for moving from a strong position (H) to a weak position (L) for gradually reducing resistance of the load means, and capable of moving to a changeover position (S) beyond the weak position (L); and an actuator (19) for moving the load adjustment means between the strong position (H) and the changeover position (S). The ergometer further comprises: an electric motor (27) for driving and rotating the load wheel (11); and a motor switch (31) for, when the load adjustment means (18) is moved to the changeover position (S), turning on a power supply circuit (30) to the electric motor, thereby driving the electric motor.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
