PURPOSE:To obtain a proper image density by changing a developing potential gap in development for some color, when the density of the image of the color is lowered or elevated in spite of the fact that the value of a toner concentration is a prescribed one. CONSTITUTION:When there is the color that the reflection density (image density) of a standard toner image measured by an opticl image density measuring means 61, is lowered or elevated than that of a prescribed level, in spite of the fact that the value of the toner concentration is almost a prescribed one, a second CPU 60 controls an electrifier 41, an irradiating light quantity control circuit 54, a developing bias circuit 62, etc., on the color, and changes the developing potential gap composed of a potential by electrification, the intensity and quantity of the exposure of the image, a developing bias, etc., so that the development is recovered to obtain the proper image density. |
