PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a frame memory to be used for the encoding and decoding of a dynamic image encoding and decoding device. CONSTITUTION:In the encoding part of a dynamic image encoding and decoding device, frame data to be used for predicted data are stored in the area of a frame memory 104 designated by an address generating part 106. And also, the predicted data stored in the frame memory 104 are read by address generating parts 107 and 108, and used for the encoding of a dynamic image. An address generated by the address generating parts 106-108 is selected by an address selecting part 109, and the reading and writing of the data to be used for the encoding of the dynamic image is operated for one frame memory. At that time, a reading address and a writing address are changed in a limited memory area while retaining a constant difference. |
